My new garden at the new house is doing pretty well so far.  A first year garden is fun but not at the same time.  It’s fun because you can experience the pleasure of designing and building something new.  The drag is having to start from scratch on the soil.  My soil has quite a bit of clay and is pretty hard.  Shovel, tiller, peat moss, garden soil, and cow manure all helped to kick me off this year.

I also posted earlier about how I wanted to give Square Foot gardening a try again.  So far it seems to be going well.  The biggest difference for me was using a frame for my tomatoes to climb instead of cages.  Here are before and after pictures:
