Stenson Blues: Coming Soon . . . Really!

I got my edits back on Stenson Blues.  Now it’s a couple of days (more like a week probably) of revision and we’re ready to go.  It seems like this is taking forever, but it really hasn’t been that long in book years.  How would book years compare to human years?  I’d say a book year feels like a decade in human years.

I’m starting to get that feeling in the pit of my stomach the closer it gets.  I think most writers know what I’m talking about.  Will anyone read it?  Well, I’ve had a couple of people ask about it so that means someone’s going to read it (besides my mom) and that’s okay.

Winter is so bah humbug that it’s hard to get motivated to do anything.  I sometimes envy the hibernating animals — sleeping through the winter doesn’t sound too bad.  My brain just feels so sluggish this time of the year.  Still, I’ve made some more progress on my other draft, Half-hand, mostly writing during my lunch hour.  It’s slow going, but it’s progress.  I’m still planning on putting this out before the end of the year as well as completing the draft for the next Kingdom of Haven novel which has started to percolate in my brain.

If I had a magic chant to bring on the spring sooner, I’d use it now.
