Busy Times
It seems like I’ve been away from this blog forever. I could blame my time away on the grammar class I recently finished, but it would be a lie. To be truthful, I’ve been distracted by more than just trying to remember the proper use of a colon: to amplify what comes before it. Well, at least that’s the one that most people get wrong.
I’ve been on the road quite a bit since my last post. I’ve been to Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC; Myrtle Beach, SC; and Ft. Worth, TX. I’m not mentioning several smaller towns whose names most people wouldn’t recognize. Some was work and some was play, but it added up to much time away from home. Here I am trying out a Segway for the first time in Myrtle Beach.
If it looks easy, here is the picture I took of my son on his Segway. I guess he was a bit more steady on his machine than I was on mine. I swear, my hands were steady.
When I was home, I spent some time in the garden.
I’m especially proud of my lemon tree because it set fruit this year. At least I think it’s a lemon tree. It might be a lime tree because I forgot to label them when I put them in matching pots last year. I guess I’ll find out soon enough.
With all the recent travel and activity, I’ve concentrated on using my writing time to work on my novel-in-progress rather than writing blog posts. It seemed a good idea until I finally looked up and realized I hadn’t posted here in awhile.
